Fiorello cast begins rehearsals

Members of the cast of SBMT's upcoming "Fiorello!" met for orientation on July 19. There was lots to learn, including some tidbits, truths, and a few fibs about the real Fiorello LaGuardia from producer Jay Steele. (Did Fiorello ever beat up a horse? Directors announced for "Fiorello" and "Gypsy"

South Bay Musical Theatre is pleased to announce the directors for two of our 2015-16 shows, FIORELLO! (Fall '15) and GYPSY (Spring '16). Long-time SBMT member, Board member, and director C. Michael Traw will helm our fall production, "Fiorello." The musical depicts the original 'man of the people,' Fiorello LaGuardia, who bested the corrupt Tammany Hall political bosses and became Mayor of New York City. On January 24, SBMT's production of CURTAINS celebrated a sold-out opening night! Our mailbox is already filling with positive comments, and one reviewer writes: "South Bay Musical Theatre has a winner with this production."
