Artistic staff

Directed by Chris Reber and musically staged by Lee Ann Payne, this production continues a legacy SBMT audiences know well: Lee Ann previously helmed beloved shows like Singin’ in the Rain (2023) and No, No, Nanette (2024). Fittingly, Come From Away was also written by a husband-and-wife team, mirroring the collaborative spirit at the heart of this unforgettable theatrical experience.

Parental Advisory

Come From Away tells the true story of the days following the events of September 11, 2001. While the musical is uplifting, hopeful, and appropriate for most audiences, it contains references to the terrorist attacks, aviation emergencies, fear and uncertainty during a national crisis, and occasional strong language. Parents are encouraged to use their own discretion when deciding whether the show is appropriate for younger children.
