It’s a Friday evening. You’re not battling traffic. You’re not searching for a parking garage. You’re not paying steep fees and walking several blocks to the theater.
Instead, you’re driving just a few minutes from home. Parking is free—and just steps from the door. Your seats are waiting for you. The theater is intimate enough that every seat feels close to the action, yet large enough to share the energy of live theater with an appreciative crowd of like-minded friends and neighbors.
As you settle in, you recognize a familiar face onstage—someone you loved in a previous South Bay Musical Theatre production. Over the years, you’ve come to know many of our performers, directors, musicians, and volunteers. They’re not touring celebrities passing through town. They’re talented artists from right here in the Bay Area, creating extraordinary theatre for their community.
This is what being an SBMT subscriber feels like.
For more than six decades, South Bay Musical Theatre has brought Noteworthy Entertainment to local audiences, producing Broadway-caliber musicals close to home at the Saratoga Civic Theater. And for many of our patrons, subscribing isn’t simply a way to save money—it’s the easiest, most enjoyable way to experience live theater all season long.
Why it pays to be a season ticket holder
Subscribers receive first choice of seats before single tickets go on sale. If you love center section seats, aisle access, or Sunday matinees, a subscription gives you the best opportunity to secure exactly what you want. Better yet, you’ll enjoy those same great seats throughout the season and can renew them year after year.
There’s also the peace of mind.
This past season, many performances of The Sound of Music and In The Heights were completely sold out, but subscribers never had to wonder whether tickets would still be available. They already had their seats reserved.
“But what if my plans change?” you ask. “No problem,” we reply.
Subscribers enjoy unlimited free ticket exchanges. If a conflict arises, simply call us at least 24 hours before showtime and we’ll move you to another performance without fees or hassle. Our box office team is available seven days a week to help make it easy.
Of course, there’s also the value. Subscribers save up to 25% compared to purchasing individual tickets throughout the season. You’ll also receive the same discount on additional tickets for friends and family and priority access to seats for our special concert events.
