This past summer, SBMT announced we were looking to hire a new team to lead our company as we embark on our seventh decade of serving the South Bay Area community. After fielding a number of eager applicants, we have now hired the first two members of that team: Lori Wood, who will serve as Business Manager, and Walter M. SBMT gratefully acknowledges the long-time service of our Facilities Director, Jeffrey Henson, who retired at the end of our 2022-2023 season. Jeffrey has been active with our group since first appearing as Buffalo Bill in 2004’s Annie Get Your Gun. In addition to being a frequent performer in shows like Beauty and the Beast, 1776, She Loves Me, Man of La Mancha, and The Will Rogers Follies, he served many terms on the Board of Directors and managed SBMT’s facilities for over a decade. South Bay Musical Theatre (SBMT) is a non-profit theatre that has been serving the Bay Area community for over 60 years. We produce high-quality entertainment that brings together a diverse group of participants in an inclusive, collaborative, and nurturing environment.  The Artistic Director (AD) reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for conceiving, developing, and implementing the artistic vision and focus of SBMT.
